Part of the History of the Yukon Sign collection, the Magic and Mystery sign was favored by Yukon Legend, Murray Lundberg. Murray is both the Yukon's Hunter S. Thompson and one of its most storied guides.  As an Alaskan guide myself, I can understand why Murray's favorite sign was an absolute must for this collection.  Believe me, it wasn't easy tracking down photos of this sign.  There was one on the entire internet, a blurry, dodgy piece of nothing that gave me little to work with in recreating this design.  And yet, here it is. 

This one's for you, Murray Lundberg.  I owe you a beer.

During a 2024 meeting with John Streiker, the Yukon's minister, I began my quiet, private mission to document the Yukon's most significant signs.  Minister Streiker had challenged me to do just this, and not one to back down from a challenge. This sign, once lost like tears in rain, is found again.  All Hail the Yukon.  

The AlCAn Highway stands as a monument to the indomitable will and combined strength of Canada and the U.S. during WWII.  Now it stands before you as the great road trip you've been thinking about taking your entire life.  Alaska is waiting to see if you can survive, but first, you will be tested and dazzled by the rugged land that awaits you on your adventure to the True North.  I can't wait to meet you.
